The vISC 2022 has finished!
Thank you to all the participants, presenters, and supporters.
Description
Ahead of the 6th International Sclerochronology Conference in Tokyo (May 2023) and with support from conference organizers, several early-career sclerochronologists have banded together to organize an interim, virtual International Sclerochronology Conference (vISC) in September 2022 with a special focus on community networking and early-career research.
Sclerochronology is the study of physical and chemical variations in the accretionary hard tissues of organisms (e.g., shells, otoliths, corals, etc), and the temporal context in which they formed. With the wide array of archives and techniques, sclerochronology is used in a range of fields, including ecology, geophysics, archaeology, climate reconstruction, and environmental and fisheries sciences. We invite ALL current and aspiring sclerochronologists to participate!
There are no fees associated with this event - it is entirely free!

Please note: Information and registration for the in-person (hybrid) 6th International Sclerochronology Conference taking place in Tokyo Japan (May, 2023) will be hosted on a different website. Details will be announced at a later date.
